There have been a lot of tragic events recently, enough to convince a person the world gone crazy, for sure.
More than usual? Or just more that I’m aware of because I’m on the internet?
Do we know these statistics?
I posed the question to google (because, you know, google is an entity, and you can just ask it questions like “are things worse now or do we just know about more bad things?”), and I got a little insight.
there is so much beauty in the creepiness of Google recording search queries (and probably everything else), because you start typing your question in and lo and behold, thank god you are not alone – someone has been there before you, and they’ve already asked if things are worse than ever.
True story (and at least according to Google, they’re not).
Most of us can take a bit of comfort in the knowledge that we are not the only ones feeling sensitive or thinking about odd things and doomsday scenarios – somewhere out there, someone else wants answers to the same things. No question is too stupid for google and may, in the end, be just the thing you need to calm down an impending personal cloud of doom traveling around over you. Tragedy surrounds us all, though perhaps unsurprisingly, Google’s feeling optimistic.
